It’s been awhile since I have made a post on my actual website. Enough so that I guess I need to get anyone interested in visiting my website caught up. I am still doing music and the studio stays relatively busy, but some things have changed.
- The studio since covid is mostly used for singer songwriters, bands are few and far between these days which I find kind of sad. I love bands and have loved playing in them live and in the studio my whole music career. So it’s sad that the younger generation is not really pursuing this as much as us 80’s and 90’s children did.
- I am still active on social media but mostly on Youtube, with all things guitar and music.
- I only write original music when I have time. I don’t have time anymore. The last thing I realeased was a year ago. Here is the last original thing I did musically.
- This is why I don’t have time. In 2024. I joined a Tribute band called Toast which is a Tribute band to the music of Bread, and in 2025 we did over 60 shows all over the US and played on two cruises. Toast happens to be one of the biggest Tribute bands in country right now and they started growing and plying more shows when I joined. Before I joined Toast I really wasn’t even sure who Bread was, Bread basically invented the 70s soft rock genre and I think their biggest hit was released the year I was born. You might find strange for me to join a soft rock tribute band as I am rocker, but it’s been amazing. When I joined the band It was December of 2023, and I had to learn 24 songs in 2 weeks. Things happen for a reason, I suppose, the lead singer and manager of the band both went to my same high school, but graduated 10 years earlier than me. Toast has enabled me to live my dream of playing guitar full time and travel and meet lots of cool people. The nice thing about Bread Music is they actually have a tune called “Guitar Man” which is a song about basically any guitarist in a band. At the end of guitar man I get to go off and blend in some more 80’s guitar licks and guitar shred. There is a lot I could say about this experience and it has only been two years with the band. If you want to find out more about what’s going on follow me on social media and YouTube.
